Graduate Staff Level Salary (Effective July 2025)
PGY1: $92,700
PGY2: $102,600
PGY3: $111,000
PGY4: $114,200
+Annual Living Supplement: $7500 ($1875 paid quarterly-July, October, January, April) -
NYP provides $2000 of Lyft credit for work-related commuting, provided in 2 $1000 installments per academic year.
There is an intercampus shuttle between Cornell and Columbia that departs hourly on weekdays between the hours of 6:15-9:15.

NYP provides a $180 meal card each month. This can be used at the Cornell Garden Café, the WCMC Panera (overnight only), The Heights Café at CUMC, and the Milstein 24/7 Starbucks. In addition, it can be used at select vending machines in the hospital.

Residents are provided with ACEP and EMRA memberships.

Each PGY2 class will attend the SAEM Annual Meeting with expenses covered by the residency program. Residents who present scholarly work at academic conferences are eligible for compensation from the residency.
All residents are provided with EM:RAP and Rosh Review subscriptions.
Additionally an annual $1,000 academic activities stipend, to support expenses that include conference travel given to all residents.

PGY2+ residents who are in good academic standing are allowed to internally moonlight. The moonlighting rate is $100/hr. Available departments to moonlight included adult ED, pediatric ED, ICU, and community ED sites.
