NYP-CC will participate in the Emergency Medicine Unified Interview Release Date in mid-October. Following this, interview invitations will be sent on a rolling basis.

Interview season will extend from October to January. Interviews will be conducted virtually.

There will be an optional second look available in the spring. Details will be provided around that time.

The NRMP Match Day is usually the 3rd Friday of March. More details regarding Rank Order List submission and the Match Week schedule can be found here: NRMP Applicant Calendar.

Eligibility:
Eligible applicants must either be a US citizen or permanent resident, or eligible for an appropriate visa.
We accept applicants from accredited US allopathic and osteopathic medical schools. Non-US medical graduates may apply if they have received a currently-valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). J-1 visa sponsorship is available via ECFMG. We do not offer H-1B sponsorship.

Interviews are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. All interview times provided are EST. Wednesday interview days will be held in the afternoon to accommodate for other time zones.

Broadly, your interview experience will consist of an introduction from the Program Director, Dr. Lech, a resident meet and greet, and interviews with program leadership, chief residents, and faculty.

In addition to your interview day, we host virtual pre-interview resident socials so applicants can get to know our residents in a relaxed setting.

We know it can be difficult to get a feel for a program and city via Zoom, so an optional in-person second-look experience will be hosted in the spring. Please note that this is not required and will have no bearing on applicant selection.
